MATH 6111 - Abstract Algebra II Credits: 3 This course introduces students to the definition of ring, ring theorems; integral domain, ring homeomorphisms, ideals; prime and maximal ideals, Euclidean domain, principal ideal domain, unique factorization domain, vector space, fields, extension fields; normal extension, separable extension, finite fields; field isomorphism; Galois extension.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 6101 or Departmental permission
