Practice with immigrants and refugees requires specialized knowledge and understanding of these groups as well as applications and adaptations of specialized interventions, programs, and services. Students will critically and reflectively analyze social programs, services, practices and policies with regard to determining the degree to which these systems, subsystems, processes and practices are adequately protecting the human rights, dignity and worth of these vulnerable groups in a just, respectful and culturally responsive way.
