This course is an analysis of the history of Supreme Court jurisprudence of the religion clauses and the free speech clause of the First Amendment.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will identify the key cases and principles of jurisprudence in the history of religion and speech decisions.
- Students will appraise the quality of Supreme Court jurisprudence and propose paths to better constitutionalism.
- Students will construct a research project on a topic related to the material of the course.
