DATA 2501 - Fundamentals of Matrix Algebra with Computer Applications Credits: 3
This course is intended to provide an early introduction to matrix algebra. Matrices are foundation of Linear Algebra which is the language of most analytics algorithms important for decision making in data-driven industries. A dataset itself is often represented as a matrix. In fact, matrices are the most common way to store tabular data which can be analyzed and manipulated by virtually any analytics algorithm. Therefore, for a data analyst aspirant, early exposure to matrix algebra is important.
